I have always loved Tim Weisberg. He grabbed me from the first time I heard his album Listen to the City (see/listen to below). I finally met him when he was playing a gig at the Troubadour and I took a few photos of him. I was going to shoot him again a couple of years ago but somehow it never happened. I am definitely putting shooting him on my to do list the next time I go to L.A. It looks like he plays every so often at The Coffee Gallery Backstage in Altadena...so if you're anywhere around there, I urge you to check him out.
The first thing I did before I started writing this post was to get the link for his website. And in doing so, I was pleasantly surprised to see this photo I took of him in the website's masthead.
The original sleeve that held the negatives...looking a little worse for wear.
I'm only posting this youtube link to his Listen to the City because the album is not available in any downloadable formats. It's only available on vinyl. Happily the youtube recording of the album has all the great vinyl cracklings so it's like listening to the original album. And fancy that, the poster picked up my photo for the last half of the video. There are some other cool/weird pics also included.
