I'm questioning 2016. While it hasn't been catastrophic for me, it has been the worst beginning of the year for the US stock market and we lost more famous people than I can remember in such a short time. Today we lost Dan Haggerty (Grizzly Adams), yesterday it was Alan Rickman (Die Hard, Harry Potter etc) and Celine Dion's husband Rene Angelil. The great David Bowie on Sunday, country singer Craig Strickland and NYE took Natalie Cole.
And now I am thinking about our great loss on this day in 1994. Probably the best male voice in the recording world ever. Harry Nilsson.
Here's a photo that's very small in my book and hasn't been shown anywhere else. I love the sweetness emanating from his face and his chill body language. This night was filled with great food and laughter. Can you imagine a talent like Harry hanging out and playing the board game version of $20,000 Pyramid? Well, that's what was going on into the wee hours of the morning.
6/15/41 - 1/15/94
Just listen to this voice. And then head over to You Tube and listen to more of Harry Nilsson. He was amazing.
