HB Michael Georgiades

The Happiest of Birthdays to MG. I love, love, love this guy. This photograph is from the first time I shot him when The Bernie Leadon Michael Georgiades Band were touring with Linda Ronstadt. I met him after their set and we became friends. And still are. I'm talking to him on the phone right now.

Couldn't find any live performance videos but here he is singing...

If you own a copy of STARART, check out the last thank you I gave in the back of the book ;).

Linda Ronstadt

Another never-been-seen photograph from my archives. This is one of my favorite accidents - somewhere between a multiple exposure and a film slip.

It was such a treat to see Linda Ronstadt live at the Universal Amphitheatre and have the opportunity to shoot the show.

I was so sorry to hear that Linda Ronstadt has been suffering from Parkinson's Disease and unable to sing. This is a great interview where she speaks candidly about her ups and downs. I admire her ability to face her challenges and soldier on. So strong.

Check out the recording session video of The Tracks of My Tears. And that's Andrew Gold (mentioned in the Chuck E. Weiss post) playing guitar and backing vocals.

On July 28, 2014, Linda Ronstadt was presented the 2013 National Medal of Arts by President Obama. When he hung the medal on her neck he whispered to her that he a crush on her when he was a kid. Didn't everybody?
