HB Peter Wood!

Celebrating Peter Wood's birthday today! Not only was he an amazing musician and songwriter (he co-wrote Year of the Cat with Al Stewart), he was also an excellent photographer. I took this photograph of him while he was using my second camera to photograph me taking a picture of him, etc. The shot he took of me is on the cover of Everybody I Shot Is Dead. There is also a portrait he took of me without a camera in front of my face in his section of the book.

Here's  a video Peter Wood on keyboards touring with the late great Lou Reed, where they actually cut to Peter several times throughout the video.

Time to buy a copy of my book Everybody I Shot Is Dead where you will see all of the 400+ photographs of the musicians I honor in the book.

Peter and the Spoon

Two for Friday from my book, Everybody I Shot Is Dead. Which means they have sadly passed, but I am here to keep their memories and music alive.

First is keyboardist and songwriter, Peter Wood...

Scarce footage on Peter Wood. Here again playing keyboards with Lou Reed - appearing on camera around the 4:42 mark...

Secondly, is Jimmy Witherspoon. Hopefully, no introduction is needed...

Cool video...

If you don't own my book, you should.
Both of these fine musicians grace the pages, along with many more.

Peter Wood

Celebrating Peter Wood's birthday. Unless you have read about him in my book, Everybody I Shot Is Dead, you probably don't know him. Let's change that. I met and shot him when he was touring with Al Stewart, after he co-wrote Stewart's biggest hit, Year of the Cat. He played keyboards and was a session musician. He also toured with Cyndi Lauper and Lou Reed. And he was a photographer...the photograph of me on the cover of EISID was taken backstage by Peter Wood. There is also another photograph he took of me in his section of the book.

Nothing like some Lou Reed to get your day rolling. Peter Wood is featured a lot from the 7:13 point onward.
