A photograph from one of my Creative Portraiture adventure day sessions. I love catching moments that look like movie stills. And they are great for the actors to put on their websites. You can see another photograph from Isabella's session on this previous blog post

If you know anyone looking for new headshots, I'm currently shooting in Los Angeles and also booking sessions for New York.

Blog posting every single day can be difficult, mostly because I have to come up with a new idea every day. Sometimes I just pick a file folder and pray there's some inspiration. Other times I hit my old negatives or slides for something that interests me in that moment.

Today I tried something completely different and thankfully it worked out. This time I thought it would be fun to see what I shot on this same day but a different year. Luckily, I had my camera out in New York on April 7, 2013 and actually took one of my favorite photographs.

I saw this beautiful girl in the subway looking like she had time-traveled from the distant past. My camera was on my shoulder and I didn't have time to get it up to my eye. My only chance was to guess the framing, snap it and hope it turned out.

It did. Better than I expected.

Seconds later, I clicked one more time in her direction. She had taken her hat off and was on her way.
